To say I love Christmas would be an understatement. One of my favorite things about this time of year is how cozy my home feels. This is our first holiday season in the new house and I wanted to make sure it felt comfortable and also looked beautiful since I knew we would be hosting several parties or get togethers here.
Here are some of my favorite shots of our home this year. ( half of these are iPhone pics and the others were taken by my friend and wedding photographer Aliya.)
Theres a little local greenhouse we often get flowers from and they had the best selection of live greenery. These little trees were only $16 each and the wreaths were $14. I loved them so much I put them on every window in the front of the house.
LIVING AREA AND DINING ROOM
We just got brand new furniture from Bassett Furniture and I am obsessed with it and how it fit so perfectly for the season. We aren’t crazy for getting white because its their REVOLUTION fabric which you can clean with bleach and water. You read that right, BLEACH!!
Cannon helps make everything cuter, don’t ya think?!
This is Miss Trilly. She is our Christmas present to each other! She is a Great Pyrenees and is going to be an excellent farm dog and livestock guardian!
I love changing my decor regularly and to do that, I have to be creative on ways to make changes with out spending tons of money on new things. These cute plates are from the Dollar General, and the red chargers came from Dollar Tree. I used my same white cloth napkins I always do but tied them up with burlap string and added a cinnamon stick and faux cranberry twigs that I got for 50% off at Michaels. I only bought one big bunch and used the rest to add to my wrapped presents.
My Thanksgiving and early December table setting consisted of old Hymnals on top of my chargers with a plate, napkin, pinecone and live greenery. Didn’t spend a dime on that arrangement! Unfortunately Maple thinks the table is her playground and knocked off the greenery and cones regularly. Oh well!
I didn’t go too crazy in the rest of the house but I figured our room needed a few holiday touches.
Well, there you have it. Thanks for stopping by and checking our home. I hope you all have a blessed and happy holiday season.
